Ziqo’s Mysterious Ban

World of Warcraft content creator Mohamed Beshir famously known as Ziqo announced that he will take an indefinite break and confirmed that Twitch had suspended his account without explanation.

Ziqo is one of the most respected voices in the community and a long time content creator of WoW. He is known for his skill and has become a staple of the game’s PVP scene. He has tens of thousands of subscribers on Twitch and YouTube. He is also part of the Cloud9 organization. Ziqo was dedicated to streaming and many of his fellow creators respected him very much.

He shared on his Twitter account that he can’t stream for some days lasting until January 27th. He also said that Twitch banned him but didn’t provide any reason behind his ban.

Ziqo received lots of support from his fans and other content creators. His fellow WoW streamer Nick Polom known as nmplol asked if twitch explained the reason behind his ban and ziqo responded that “zero transparency so far” he also said that he was affected by it and feels that he’s a criminal and that he’s having nightmares about it.

He also shared that he keeps on replaying his old streams to find something that might explain his recent ban but that he was unable to find one and pinpoint any reason why twitch banned his account. He said that he really felt bad because of the feeling of being left in the dark.

Many shared their frustrations about how twitch handled the incident. One of his fellow streamers Elliott Venczel known as Venruki also criticized the platform for mishandling the ban and said that twitch needs to drastically update their policy. He even questioned the platform on why they ban the streamer without any explanations of what he did wrong.

There are lots of comments circulating that Ziqo did not have a bad record for 10 years and it’s absurd to ban him without concrete reason.

Ziqo plans to release a video once his ban is lifted.
