xQc Spends $9,000 On MTG One Ring Card

Twitch streamer xQc went to tremendous measures to get the rare $2,000,000 One Ring card from Magic: The Gathering after deciding he had to have it.

Magic collectors worldwide are on the hunt for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth collectibles, and as a result, the cost of the card has risen. When the ultra-rare card was originally made public, collector Dan Bock offered to buy it for $100,000. However, that price was quickly surpassed by card shop Dave & Adam’s, which made one hundred times as much.

Streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel went into full-on Gollum mode in an effort to locate the card for himself after learning that a Spanish retailer was offering a whopping $2,000,000 for it. Soon after seeing the card, xQc made the decision to visit a card shop and spend a considerable sum buying many boxes of Magic cards. xQc bought a couple $500 Collector booster boxes, which each include 12 packs, in a series of videos.

The initial batch, which included five purchases from the store, cost about $1,500. But afterwards, his buddies brought him a huge box with an astounding 13 additional Collector booster boxes. Assuming he didn’t receive any discounts for purchasing in bulk, this raises his overall amount to at least $9,000. Although spending so much money in search of a single card may seem excessive, to a French Canadian, it represents mere pennies. Lengyel himself might put his own bounty on the One Ring card and provide more than the existing highest value of $2M thanks to the huge $100 million deal that xQc recently struck to stream on Kick.
