xQc Nintendo Friend Code Leaks

Twitch streamer xQc managed to accidentally release his Nintendo friend code while on a Twitch live stream recently, which was a significant mistake. The content creator was attempting to set up his Nintendo Switch game capture when his device’s display came on-stream, displaying his account’s code.

xQc had planned to stream gameplay from his Nintendo Switch on his most recent stream. However, due to an unfortunate mistake, the French-Canadian star ended up getting more than he bargained for.

xQc was seen straining to link his Switch’s display to his streaming software in the now-deleted video. He attempted to reconnect the device numerous times, all the while expressing his uncertainty. The device eventually connected, but it revealed more than he had planned. His Nintendo Switch’s screen displayed his complete friend code, which is linked to his account. Lengyel jumped to change the screen as soon as he noticed what had transpired before accepting his fate and just sighing in frustration.

People can add other device owners as friends with the friend code, and these friends can help them in various games they play together. The Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo Switch is one of the most well-known games that make use of friend codes, as it allows players to visit one another’s islands and trade stuff.

However, because xQc is a well-known content creator, releasing the friend code might be a major headache for him. By the time the code was shown, he had over 50k live viewers, many of whom would spam him with friend requests in an attempt to befriend him. However, all hope is not lost for the former Overwatch pro. According to the official Nintendo Switch support site, he can reissue a Friend Code by just pressing a button on the device.

This isn’t the first time that xQc’s personal information has been leaked. Twitch was hit by a huge data breach earlier this year, which resulted in the earnings of many high-profile Twitch streamers (including Lengyel) being gathered in a spreadsheet and made public.
