xQc Is Dethroned

Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, Twitch’s king, was knocked out of the ‘most watched’ position in February 2022. Elden Ring and Lost Ark streamers soared to the top of the popularity lists, causing the streamer’s viewership to plummet by 15%.

Twitch has been led by xQc for what feels like an eternity. Fans tune in for his vast range of Just Chatting and variety content these days, since he is more than just a gamer. He’s been knocked from his perch in a rare sight during the previous few years. According to Sullygnome’s statistics, xQc’s popularity dipped in February, and he lost his title as Twitch’s most watched streamer of the month.

Following the rise of Lost Ark and Elden Ring streams, gaming publication Fextralife overtook xQc in last month’s statistics. Fextralife had an incredible watch time of 20,602,064 hours over the month, while xQc came in second with 20,504,221.

Throughout the month of February, all of xQc’s measures were down. With an average viewership of 72,645 people, he streamed for 282 hours (down 10.4% from January) (down 5.8 percent ). His total viewing time had decreased by more than 15%.

This isn’t the first time xQc has had to surrender his throne. In October 2021, Fextralife topped the most viewed charts, fueled by the release of New World.

Fextra’s position atop the leaderboard was called into question at the time, with Ludwig questioning the site’s legitimacy as a legitimate streamer. Ludwig called out Fextralife for embedding and auto playing streams on every page of the wiki saying “I don’t know if it’s illegal, I don’t know if it’s allowed with TOS, but I’m just saying it’s not a good thing for Twitch.”

This month on Twitch, the fall of xQc wasn’t the only story told in statistics. Asmongold’s comeback to his main channel was a huge hit, with the star MMORPG streamer setting new records and racking up 19 million hours of viewing time in a single month.
