xQc Has Twitch Idea

Twitch streamer xQc is no stranger to big brain moments, but he claims to have surpassed himself by concocting a “billion-dollar” concept that he believes would revolutionize Twitch.

Twitch has been stepping up its efforts to ensure the platform’s long-term viability. They’ve added diversity tags, a contentious boost feature, altered refund policies, stepped up efforts to defend streams from DMCA lawsuits, and more. xQc, on the other hand, claims to have come up with a “billion-dollar” proposal that will transform the platform. He proposed it live on stream to Pluto, a Twitch employee who works in the partnership department.

He stated; “People want clips. People want to see top clips. People want to see what happened today on this forsaken platform. I don’t have time to watch all the streams. But I do have a little bit of time and I want a highlight reel of all the streamers I’m interested in or another section about what happened today on Twitch. What happened today in the realm of live content.”

He said that this possible feature would be “just like LSF but without the dogs*t commenters,” and that it could even include chat. “If people want to, they can comment on these things later.”

xQc also criticized the platform’s current clip recommendation system saying; “Clips we think you’ll like? F**k off, dude. I don’t think so. How about you give me clips that people like today. Clips that people watch today.”

Pluto was intrigued by the concept as he said; “Good ideas, Felix. I love it,” He assured him, though, that the current clip recommendation system is working fine.

But the discussion didn’t end there. They discussed everything from the user interface to the top page and beyond. Now we’ll have to wait and watch if the Amazon platform takes his advice into consideration.
