xQc Calls Out People Using His Emotes As A Joke

Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, a former Overwatch pro turned full-time Twitch streamer, has slammed streamers and viewers who use his emotes as jokes, alleging that it puts him “on the map.”

xQc has grown in popularity in the online gaming community since leaving the Overwatch competitive scene to pursue full-time streaming. With over 10 million followers, he is the 5th most followed streamer on Amazon’s streaming platform, indicating that the move was a huge success. Viewers have grown to like xQc’s outspoken nature, which has never shied away from expressing his opinions on a given subject.

xQc recently voiced his opinion on Will Smith’s iconic slap at the 2022 Oscars event, but in his April 2nd live, he criticized the use of his emotes by other creators and streams. While watching some classic Tfue Fortnite content, Lengyel expressed his dissatisfaction with how his emotes are often utilized as a joke or to mock the streamer. Regardless of the motivation, he believes he benefits in the long run from their use.

Here’s what he stated; “At the end of the day. Guys, I don’t want to seem entitled or weird saying sh*t like this… but everybody clowning on my emotes and saying ‘guys, my thing happened xQcL’. Everybody is clowning on xQcL dude, I don’t mind it! It’s funny, ok. They want to meme and do some bulls**t about xQcL, xQc, that’s funny. I don’t give a sh*t. Want to know why it’s funny? Because nobody clowns on any of their emotes because nobody uses them, people don’t even f*king knows they exist. So, at least it puts me somewhere on the map. I don’t really give a sh*t.”

On Twitch, xQcL has recently become more of a meme, with some people utilizing it to mock the streamer. xQc, on the other hand, appears to be taking the position that all publicity is good Publicity, and that it will maintain him at the top of Twitch for the time being.
