Valkyrae’s Massive Merch Sales

Selling products is one of the more prevalent ways for influencers and content creators to further monetize their brands. 100 Thieves co-owner and influencer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter recently showed how lucrative this can be.

Valkyrae, labeled the “Queen of YouTube,” is one of the most well-known content creators and streamers on the internet.

She is a co-owner of 100 Thieves after obtaining shares in April 2021, in addition to streaming and starring in videos and advertising for the popular organization. While these activities are undoubtedly helping Valkyrae to increase her profits as a creator, she also debuted her long-awaited, redesigned product line for her fans to wear, and, as she stated in a tweet, there is a lot of interest.

On September 25, the popular creator revealed on a twitter post, “Woke up to over 20,000 merch orders on the first day.”

If every order was for the lowest item, a $30 t-shirt, the merch drop would have brought in $600,000 in a single day. Of course, it’s quite unlikely that fans merely purchased the cheapest thing available. Calculating the average price of the things available ($47.78) yields a total revenue of $955,600, which is a better estimate of what she may have made in those 24 hours.

There’s a good probability that some fans ordered multiple items – one Twitter user, for example, ordered every item for $440 — so the total amount is likely to be much over $1 million.

Valkyrae collaborated with Revolt, an influencer clothing company, to create this new line, with the goal of “diverging from the standard digital creator career path by focusing on the business side of the industry and investing away from streaming.”

The line became available for purchase on September 24 and will only be available for one week, according to a tweet. After that, these items will be forever gone. This method is comparable to 100T’s exclusive approach, however they recently produced $2.5 million in the first month from their new always-available “Foundations” line.

Valkyrae has had a busy year, with the debut of her new clothing line. She signed an exclusive broadcasting partnership with YouTube, became one of 2021’s most-watched female content creators, and performed in music videos for Corpse Husband and Bella Poarch, in addition to becoming a co-owner of 100 Thieves.
