Valkyrae Takes A Break From YouTube Streaming

Rachel Hofstetter most commonly known online as Valkyrae is a popular Youtube streamer who streams a variety of games such as Among Us and Rust. She just celebrated her 29th birthday with fellow streamers on Rust who surprised her in the game. She also became the most watched female streamer for the year 2020 with over 23.6m hours watched.

She recently took a week long hiatus from streaming leading fans to wonder as to what the reason was. During her January 17th live broadcast, she explained the reason for her taking a break from streaming. She claimed that she had already fulfilled her contracted hours for streaming; “I signed a contract with YouTube a year ago and as some of you didn’t know and some of you did learn later, I have streaming hours to fulfill and I owe 100 hours a month, but I went a little crazy and streamed too much last year which is very bad for my health.”

Then she further added; “I turned 29 on January 8th… it’s probably a good time to turn into an adult so I’m going to do that by probably changing my lifestyle a lot.” Valkyrae explained that she has some problems with her gut-health and that she thinks she has an auto-immune skin disease so as a result she’ll be changing her diet and cooking more often.
