Twitter Bans xQc

The account of xQc was suspended by Twitter after he posted video clips of himself on the platform knowing that it had DMCA strikes and notices. Twitter took action because DMCA takedown notices are a serious violation.

It has been an important issue and has also become a topic these past months regarding Twitch rules and regulations. It may seem like a bluff but DMCA is serious and very strict when it comes to their rules regarding copyright music.

xQc  recently received a notice and it looks like he didn’t know that the rules still apply for other social media accounts like Twitter. The platform also banned him from using his account because of the clip he posted.

He later explained on his Twitter account posting; “DMCA FOR A YEAR+ OLD 10S CLIP FROM MY OWN STREAM. WONDERFUL AND WELL THAUGHT OUT SYSTEM! NEXT STOP? JAIL!”

He’s referring to the recent  felony streaming bill that was recently passed a couple of weeks ago regarding the use of copyright music. This bill is also focused on the pirate streaming services that stream unlicensed content.

His Twitter account is now back up and running. He’s still frustrated about the claims and still hopes that Twitch will fix the problem.
