Twitch Tournament Stream is Hacked

During Twitch Rivals’ $400,000 World Series of Warzone tournament broadcast, thousands of fans were treated to unexpected contempt. Someone hacked into the highly anticipated draft and turned everyone off.

The Warzone World Series is a significant deal. The event, which is co-hosted by Twitch Rivals and Activision, has a prize pool of $400,000 and features 150 of the best Warzone players in the world. It all begins with a draft, in which five major captains select teams to represent them. North America’s draft was on November 16, with the real tournament on November 17. The tens of thousands of early spectators, on the other hand, didn’t have to wait for a real match to be concerned about hackers.

Instead, someone hacked captain HusKerrs’ camera and proceeded to disrespect… everyone.

Everything was OK until Husk’s cam was replaced. A random middle finger sprang up, aimed toward the globe, and gave a small wag in the middle of the conversation. Surprisingly, everyone on the broadcast maintained a professional demeanor and ignored the unexpected nastiness. ShawnJ was the only one who seemed to notice, and he laughed and looked around, a little perplexed.

Viewers and other streamers, like JoeWo, were undoubtedly aware. On Twitter, the “movement king” laughed at “the tiny child” who hacked into the call and offered everyone a taste of CoD lobby energy.

Fortunately, the problem was swiftly rectified, and viewers were able to enjoy Husk’s face rather than a renegade finger for the remainder of the stream. Now everyone can just sit back, relax, and hope that’s the end of the WSOW hacking story.
