Twitch Partnership With T-Pain

T-Pain was using Twitch long before it became popular. While Twitch had been used by video game fans for years, it was not a popular hangout for celebrities like it is now. It’s not uncommon to see famous athletes, actors, or musicians streaming a game and interacting with their fans on Twitch these days. While T-Pain on the other hand, began doing it as a way to pass the time in his spare time. He’d hang out, play games, and show off new music.

Twitch has become almost as much of a job for him as his music career. He’s a hugely popular streamer, with tens of thousands of people tuning in live or watching his VODs after he’s finished. Twitch noticed his popularity and reached out to him. T-Pain and Twitch have now formed a partnership that will make his presence on the platform even more prominent. He’s kicking off his partnership with an exclusive listening party for his new single “I’m Cool With That” on his Twitch channel.

T-Pain said because of their partnership, he has been noticed and with so little representation on the service before, the fact that Twitch reached out to him shows that they recognize his community and value their contribution to the streaming world. For years, they have hosted beat battles and collaborative sessions of ‘I’m Cool With That’ was the first song created and released with his community, and he hopes that their partnership is just the beginning of a journey Twitch and him are about to embark on to uplift and strengthen the music community on Twitch.

T-Pain will further break down the new track at the upcoming listening party, as well as share details about other aspects of his partnership, such as monthly “Post Ya Song” and “Post Ya Beat” reviews from community producers. It’s great to see T-Pain get this kind of recognition, especially since he was one of the first big names to embrace Twitch. Now that he’s formed a partnership, his audience will be able to watch his streams grow even larger.

This is also a significant step forward for Twitch, as the platform continues to demonstrate that it can be used for more than just video games. Twitch will always be first and foremost about video games, but the platform hasn’t shied away from expanding into something even bigger. T-Pain, fortunately for them, not only represents the video game side of the platform, but also the music side. He’s the ideal partner for this project.
