Trainwrecks Teases Next Kick Signings

In the wake of the unexpected departures of xQc and Amouranth, Kick co-owner and streamer Trainwrecks has hinted at the platform’s upcoming additions.

Kick, a Stake-backed streaming service that went live in late 2022, has been immensely popular since then and has recently overtaken Twitch as a leading competitor. So far, we’ve seen a number of well-known figures in the streaming community switch to the new site, which boasts exclusive deals worth millions of dollars and blows Twitch out of the water with an amazing 95/5% subscription income split. Adin Ross, who left the Amazon-owned platform after being banned, and BruceDropEmOff, who joined Kick after having a falling-out with OTK and receiving several Twitch bans, are two examples of people who made the jump.

The move was most recently made by Twitch star xQc on June 16, when he signed a $70 million non-exclusive two-year contract with Kick, which is expected to bring in an astounding $10k per hour of streaming on the platform. After xQc’s unexpected signing, Trainwrecks hinted at the platform’s future plans. Although keeping quiet, the co-owner of Kick stated in a message on Moistcr1tikal’s chat that several FPS and variety streamers, along with a female streamer, will be the next to join the platform. “There is a female variety streamer, there are a couple male FPS/Variety streamers, and a male personality/variety – that’s all I can say,” he wrote.

Trainwrecks hinted in moistcr1tikal’s talk about the upcoming Kick signings.

Amouranth, who was the biggest female streamer on Twitch in 2022, departed the platform after that and began streaming on Kick on June 17 in the middle of her seven-year stream anniversary.
