TikTok Feature For Streamers

One of the worst things that can happen to a social media content creator is running into users who only join the broadcast to attack the streamer through rude comments during a live stream.

In this sense, platforms such as Twitch employ moderators in large-participation streams in order to filter out any comments made with the intent of annoying the streamer.

TikTok is one of the social networks where many users take advantage of directing, which is why the platform’s administrators have decided to add a new feature that will allow tiktokers and moderators to mute users during a live broadcast. As a result of this tool, TikTok will be able to silence any viewer who may be causing annoyances during a live broadcast, for as little as a few minutes or as long as the broadcast lasts.

In addition, TikTok stated that, in addition to vetoing the participation of one or more users during a live broadcast, all comments made by that person until I’m silenced will be deleted.

Although hosts on TikTok already had the option of deactivating comments and filtering out those that were offensive, the addition of this new feature expands the level of control they have over the situation. As a result, the streamer will not need to disable comments for all viewers, but only for those who are required.

According to Eric Han, Head Security in the United States, that live streaming in TikTok is an exciting way to connect the viewers and the streamers by adding more security to it.

In conjunction with this measure, TikTok made available the platform’s Community Guidelines Application Report for the second quarter, which included information on content that violated the rules as well as accounts that were deleted between April and June 2021.
