Streamers Stream Through Zoom

Zoom now connects with Twitch, allowing users to livestream directly from the Zoom desktop client to Twitch. Users had to rely on third-party apps as a workaround before this integration, and the procedure was often cumbersome.

The only catch is that Zoom usually charges a fee to livestream its sessions to other platforms. And it’s no different with this new Twitch integration. Users must subscribe to one of Zoom’s Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Education services to access the Twitch integration. The Pro tier, which costs $149.90 a year, is the cheapest choice.

Zoom said in a recent blog post; “To help our customers streamline the process of sharing content within their communities and extend their reach, account owners and admins can now allow hosts to livestream their meeting or webinar to Twitch directly rather than manually configuring the stream as a custom live streaming service.”

The company revealed the new relationship earlier this week, along with a number of other Zoom enhancements, including meeting avatars, video messages in chats, and more.
