Streamers Resurrect Rust

The game Rust is continuously rising in popularity on twitch. It is a survival game that was developed by Facepunch studios and it was released back in 2018. During the past few months,  Rust has made a surprise comeback becoming the number one game on Twitch after a long period of inactivity.

It has seen a startling resurgence on Twitch, reaching the top of the charts for most views on the streaming platform. It even beat out the game Minecraft. Rust has gone up in popularity mainly because several big name streamers have been playing this game on their streams including the likes of Pokimane, Shroud, xQc and more as they were a part of the popular server which is OTV rust server.

These major streamers have spent the past few days surviving online together and creating emergent stories through in-game interactions and RP. No one knows how long this game will be popular as some games such as Fall Guys was unseated by Among Us last year, and now, Rust finally gets its time in the spotlight.
