Streamer Tyler1 Meets Riot CEO For First Time

A well known League of Legends streamer on Twitch, Tyler1 has recently revealed that he finally met with the Riot games CEO, however, it seems like he wasn’t, he was less than impressed by the streamer’s take on LoL.

Tyler1 is known to anyone who has ever played League of Legends. He’s become somewhat of a LoL icon thanks to his explosive outbursts and hilarious lack of filter.

Riot, it turns out, is just as aware of this as the fans are. The musclebound streamer was invited to Riot Games’ CEO, Nicolo Laurent, for the Global Premier event for Arcane, League’s new animated Netflix show. The chance meeting, however, did not go precisely as planned, as Tyler made a joke about his favorite game that went flat.

During a November 9th live broadcast, Twitch streamer Tyler1 recalls how he decided to mock League in front of Riot’s CEO. Noting that Laurent reminded him of the actor who plays William Fisk in the Netflix adaptation of Marvel’s Daredevil, he states that “he walked up to me and I was like ‘oh, what’s up bro.’ He was like ‘yooo,’ he was smiling. He was like ‘yo, nice to meet you, I’m the CEO of Riot.”

Tyler1 used this opportunity to welcome Laurent in pure Tyler1 style, saying, “I was like ‘what’s up dude, your game’s f**ing trash – I hate League of Legends!’” This didn’t quite elicit the chuckle he hoped for, though, as he describes Laurent’s expression as going from a beaming grin to vague irritation almost instantly.

Tyler1 continued; “I was like ‘oop, just kidding brother, I love League of Legends! He was like ‘yes, I know you do, I know you do.’ I was like ‘oop!’”

Laurent is sure to forgive Tyler’s sarcastic effort at comedy, as he goes on to add that “he’s a big dude actually” and that “he’s pretty nice though.”
