Streamer Maya Higa Breaks Down

Maya, a Twitch streamer, has recently opened up about the ongoing dispute with viewers, stating that her ex-boyfriend Mizkif had “replaced” her with Emiru.

Mizkif and Maya Higa, a Twitch streaming couple, began dating in 2019 and immediately became one of the most famous couples on the platform. Until September 2021, the two were practically inseparable, frequently appearing on each other’s streams. Miz and Maya announced their peaceful split to their followers, but things have changed in the last few weeks, with rising Twitch star Emiru joining Mizkif’s content house and now appearing on his stream on a regular basis.

Many viewers, as well as a few streams, have noted similarities between Miz’s behaviors with Emiru and what he did while dating Maya. It’s recently become a popular subject in the community, and it’s gotten to Maya, who described it as “exhausting” while streaming on her backup channel. 

Maya’s perspective on the matter was immediately picked up by other streamers, despite her initial hesitation to speak about it. She did, however, give an emotional apology for being involved in it. Maya explained; “I stream to practice singing on my alt and I was hurt.”

Maya was aware that any footage could be clipped, but she ignored this concern in order to express her feelings: “I felt safe in that moment to talk about why I was hurting. I just wanted people to acknowledge that I was hurt and to understand why. My hurt is other people’s hurt, because of who I am and who is involved and because of how public all this is.”

Maya stated in a prior stream that she and QTCinderella discuss the topic “all the time,” with QTCinderella proclaiming it “f**ked up.” Despite her reservations, she emphasized that Maya “needs to talk about it.” “Being replaced in every aspect but romantic in less than two months is hard enough,” Maya said of Emiru moving in with Mizkif.
