Streamer Laughs at a Comment that Mocked TWICE Jeongyeon

Streamer Sabrinoca earned the attention of some kpop fans after being accused of laughing about TWICE Jeongyeon’s mental health. During one of her live broadcasts, while she was interacting with her viewers, she decided to read some questions on her CuriousCat while waiting for her friend named Travesty. Later on while she was reading some comments, she burst out into laughter.

She read; “Guys, I swear, I’m not skipping any questions. I’m reading all of them. I don’t know if they keep on asking me this question, ‘Brina, what is your opinion about the hiatus of Mina from TWICE which was one of the most discussed topics of K-pop in 2019, and now that Jeongyeon is depressed, no one seems to care about her hiatus. Do you think it is because of Mina who is beautiful, and Jeongyeon is ugly? Or because-”. Because of this, on December 5th, the hashtag ApologizetoJeongyeon trended on twitter in response to the streamer who is said to have laughed at the netizen who mocked the kpop TWICE member’s mental health.

TWICE Jeongyeon is currently on her hiatus due to anxiety. It was announced earlier in October. Fans and supporters of TWICE Jeongyeon are livid at the streamer for laughing at a serious matter, prompting some fans to talk about her popularity. ONCEs also stated that tolerating her fans’ negative attitude is not right. However, the streamer further posted a lengthy explanation on Twitter about her side regarding the hate that she has been receiving. According to her post, she explained that she didn’t say anything, nor made fun of TWICE’s Jeongyeon’s mental health condition. She claimed to be a fan of the K-pop group as well and apologized for laughing at the comment about the members’ appearances.
