Streamer Denied Partnership Over Age

Twitch streamer AverageHarry recently applied for twitch partnership, however, he was denied as twitch discovered that he had signed up on twitch while he was under the age of 13 years old.

The drama didn’t end there as Twitch also stated that AverageHarry could lose access to his Twitch channel because of the restriction. AverageHarry announced his permanent ban through a twitter post where he wrote, “I have just been permabanned on Twitch”. Then he followed up with an explanation where he shared his previous tweet which included a screenshot of the email he received when they denied his application and he stated; “for anyone wondering this is why, I’ll have a video out tomorrow talking about it all. I am allowed to make another account but I have just lost nearly 90k followers”.

Because of this, some people have been sharing their support to the twitch streamer on social media. One user even stated; “He genuinely seemed like a good kid, Hope he makes a new account and stuff.” Regardless, it looks like Twitch is treating it as a serious matter and doesn’t want to set a precedent. So, it will be interesting to see what happens and whether their decision is final.
