Statement By Michelle Obama

Former First Lady Michell Obama released a statement regarding President Donald Trump. Michelle addressed the riot and violence that was caused by the pro-Trump rioters at the U.S Capitol building this past Wednesday and shared her thought about what was happening.

Michelle Obama’s statement said that the president couldn’t handle the truth of his failures and that he was willing to burn our democracy down for his own ego. She said that she’s hurting for our country and that it’s painful to see what was happening right now. It hurts how Donald Trump allowed this kind of behavior that involved violence.

She also called out the companies in Silicon Valley and said; “Now is the time for Silicon Valley companies to stop enabling this monstrous behavior”.

Banning Trump from any platform might be the best idea to minimize the violence, as the first lady said; “Prevent technology from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection”.

Social Media platforms already banned the President’s accounts for an ‘indefinite’ time but no social platform permanently banned him. There is still a possibility that Trump’s account might still be restored in as little as two weeks.
