Sodapoppin Accidentally Makes $10k From Merch

Chance Morris better known online as Sodapoppin is one of the most popular twitch streamers with over 5.9 million followers on the platform. He has been streaming lately the newly popular game rust with other popular streamers like xQc and shroud. Some personalities and streamers are commonly releasing their very own merch as it is a great way to share something with their fans and for some, it allows them to gain a decent amount of profit.

However, twitch streamer sodapoppin wants to avoid making profit off his products. Recently when he released his merch he stated; “The merch store, there is no profit in it. It’s simply just very cheap shirts. But they’re 100% cotton. It’s not like they’re cheap shirts, it’s just that my profit is taken out, I get nothing from it.” During one of his recent live broadcasts, he shared his frustrations as he profited from his merch over $10,000 and it was completely unintentional.

He explained during the stream, “So Malena made a YouTube video talking about the shirts or whatever, the store. The whole purpose of the shirts is to be dirt cheap and make zero profit. But Malena made this video, and she didn’t know about the discount code. I made like ten grand on people not knowing about the discount code. And I’m pissed about it.” It looks like the kind gesture ended up backfiring in an unexpected way.
