Pokimane Warns Twitch Fans

One of the most popular female twitch streamers, Imane Anys aka Pokimane, recently shared her insights regarding the ongoing drama of Tommyinnit and KSI. Minecraft youtuber Tommyinnit has recently come under fire after he joked about KSI being afraid of Dream fans in a YouTube collaboration. Tommy made reference to the fact that the YouTuber was refusing to swear, saying; “The reason that KSI just wouldn’t swear in this video, is because Dream’s fans fucking hate him. KSI is scared of Dream’s fans.”

Fans weren’t happy that the streamer decided to make a video with KSI, citing KSI’s past “transphobia and ableism.” However, Tommyinnit has now issued an apology over twitter for his remarks. Regardless, it has become quite a significant topic in the streaming community and it caught several personalities attention including the female twitch star Pokimane. During her March 27th live broadcast, she addressed her thoughts regarding the drama as she suggested that Twitter has grown to be a place where people are incredibly “attached” to the comments and behavior of others, a habit she thinks needs to change. She stated; “In the real world there are some people that don’t give a fuck what you want, don’t give a fuck what you need. Don’t give a fuck what you think about what they’re thinking, or what they’re saying, or what they’re doing. And so, I think if you can learn to not be so attached to how other people are acting, that is like a life necessity.”

Then she further added; “And even me, I have found that being on Twitter makes me care way too much about what other people are saying or doing. It makes me feel like I need to run around and correct all the dumbasses in the world… it’s not your job. Can you educate people? For sure. But I think it’s way more worthwhile to do that with people in your real life.” She also pointed out the lack of “nuance” on Twitter, saying that it feels like people are forced to be completely with something or completely against something.
