Pokimane Starting Tesla Giveaway

Imane “Pokimane” Anys has had her share of drama in 2022, but she has remained a positive force in the streaming community. The popular streamer is now giving away a brand new Tesla car.

Pokimane has had a rocky start to the year 2022. Trolls harassed her and her viewers during a hate raid, and she was too upset to continue streaming. Then, on Twitter, Pokimane was insulted for her natural appearance and received death threats. Despite these obstacles, Pokimane has continued to stream. Pokimane hinted at a car giveaway earlier this year as a way of thanking her followers for their sustained support and celebrating the continuation of her Twitch career. Pokimane has now disclosed all of the information.

Pokimane announced the winner of her automobile giveaway earlier today. A brand new Tesla is the vehicle she intends to present to one lucky fan. All participants must do is retweet, follow, and comment, as is customary for Twitter giveaways. 

In a follow-up tweet, Pokimane said she would increase the prize to $33,000 to cover the winner’s taxes. Pokimane received a lot of affection, but also a lot of dismay from Twitter users who didn’t realize governments could take that much money in sweepstakes like this. 

Pokimane also produced an official document that contained all of the giveaway’s rules and information. Along with the usual details, several fans noticed that the contest was only open to residents of the United States and the District of Columbia. Her international supporters were dissatisfied, and they felt left out as a result. Others, though, pointed out that trying to give a car away abroad might present extra challenges.
