Pokimane Opines About ASMR Streamers

One of the most popular Twitch streamers Imane Anys AKA Pokimane expressed her opinion regarding the rise in ASMR streams.

The previous meta called “Hot Tub” streams showed how inconclusive guidelines can be exploited generating an outpour of backlash from the gaming community over the rise of the likes of Indiefoxx and Amouranth in which was not appreciated by many streamers on the streaming platform until Twitch cracked down on them.

According to Pokiamane she felt really bad for legitimate ASMR artists knowing that people come into your category and get to the top by doing splits showing their butt and gurgling into a mic is sucks and unfortunate. She added by saying that she hopes that it doesn’t get to the point that Twitch if similar events unfold and many top content creators could be hopped into a category of mature content that might lose out on ad revenue regardless of the participation in the controversial metas.

Pokimane’s strong opinion against the “Hot tub” metas before stands firm when streamers now choose to sexualize ASMR streams for views and ad revenue.
