Pokimane is Pranked With The Rickroll’ Self-Defense TikTok

Top female twitch streamer Imane Anys aka Pokimane has been hilariously Rickrolled during her recent live broadcast. Rickrolling, alternatively Rick-rolling or Rickroll, is a prank and an Internet meme involving an unexpected appearance of the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song “Never Gonna Give You Up”. The meme is a type of bait and switch using a disguised hyperlink that leads to the music video.

Despite being over ten years old, rickrolling still remains amusingly culturally relevant up to this day as the biggest female streamer Pokimane has been hilariously Rickrolled during her recent stream. The suggestion piqued Anys’ interest and decided to grant the viewer their request by loading up the video. When Pokimane played the video, the man was explaining that he would be teaching the deadliest self-defense move known to man.

Pokimane was clearly interested about this deadly move so she kept on watching the video, but then shortly after, after some brief instructions about how to properly make a fist in both hands, the man told viewers to move their clenched hands back and forth, which Poki naively imitated then the video suddenly transitioned to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” and Pokimane had been successfully Rickroll’d in 2021. She buried her face on her hands as she exclaimed; “There’s no way! There’s literally no way! Did I really just get Rickrolled through a TikTok in 2021? What the f**k?”

Pokimane also posted the clip of this incident on her twitter with a caption, “everyone NEEDS to learn this self-defense trick, it blew my mind”. It has gained a lot of feedback from other streamers such as TimTheTatman who replied, “Rickrolled in 2021 LOL”, and Nickmercs who also replied with seven laughing emojis.
