Pokimane Hits 8 Million Followers on Twitch

Imane Anys aka Pokimane is a streamer on twitch who is the most followed female streamer on the platform. She is best known for her live streams on Twitch, broadcasting video game content, with a variety of titles such as League of Legends and Fortnite. Initially, poki has been known to stream gameplay and commentary of Fortnite, which she first streamed as part of a sponsorship.

In addition to streaming on the Twitch platform, Anys also has multiple YouTube channels: Pokimane, Pokimane Too, Pokimane VODS, Poki ASMR, and imane.[17][18] The Pokimane channel features edited gaming clips from streams while Pokimane Too includes unrelated clips of her gaming content, vlogs, and podcast. Anys is also a member of OfflineTV, a collaborative YouTube channel made up of content creators.

Now, during her recent live broadcast on twitch, she was surprised as she hit the 8 million follower mark on stream. She appeared visibly exhilarated when she finally crossed 8 million followers on the platform.

She thanked her viewers, calling Twitch her home and spoke about how she had been regularly streaming for almost 8 years now. In the stream while monitoring her followers count, Poki told her viewers to calm down and relax despite the fact that she was only 3 followers away from hitting the 8 million mark.

Poki jokingly claimed that she had nothing planned and had not thought about a giveaway and she asked people to “unfollow” her for the time being. Because of this, around 300 viewers who were part of the chat agreed, and decided to unfollow her, which left her in complete shock that her viewers actually listened to her.

She eventually spoke about giving away 8 consoles for the viewers’ choice and noticed that the more she talked about the giveaways, the quicker her follower-count went up.

When Pokimane crossed the 8 million followers mark and reacted by screaming out excitedly and she thanked her viewers stating; “Thanks, chat. Thanks, guys! I don’t even know what to say. Thank you so much for the dummy thick number. 8 mill on Twitch I appreciate you guys so much. You know Twitch is my home. It’s where I started my internet journey and I am so happy to still be here and I am happy that it feels like in a sense that I left my mark. When I look at this number, I think for starters it is overwhelming and astounding and huge. But really, all I see is so many memories.”
