Pokimane Ends Stream

Popular Twitch streamer Imane Anys aka Pokimane ended her stream early recently when Jidienpremium’s viewers raided her stream at his request, harassing her and her fans in the stream chat and their Twitch whispers.

She assumed it was bots at first, but she soon learned it was her fellow partnered streamer’s fans in her chat who had come to her broadcast after he instructed his chat to follow her and “everybody say L + Ratio” in her chat.

Poki fans were harassed in their whispers by Jidion viewers, prompting Poki to end his stream early, saying, “I think I am going to end stream because, like as much as I can deal with this, I don’t like that people on his stream are whispering people on my stream. I’ll put up with the bullsh*t, but I don’t want you guys to put up with bullsh*t.”

Pokimane stated earlier in the video, after the hate raid had begun, “I think it is against TOS to do stuff like that. To send your viewers to sh*t on another streamer? Because Twitch has a harassment policy. Brigading is against the rules, I am pretty sure. . . I am tired of being an incels punching bag, go be sad about yourself and insecure elsewhere.”

The harassing viewers came to her channel after Jidion encouraged his followers to harass her in the chat while watching her play VALORANT on broadcast and made fun of her. Jidion then joked that if Poki got him removed for his previous hate rate, his fans would harass her even more.

Pokimane took to Twitter to protest the harassment, as well as the apathy shown by other streamers toward harassed streamers. Malicious brigading is against Twitch’s terms of service, as it is a violation of their anti-harassment and anti-hateful content rules. It is against Twitch’s agreements to “incite viewers to target another person with abuse, regardless of whether the targets are on or off Twitch,” according to the company.
