Pokimane And Alinity “Massively Hated”

Twitch streamer and co-founder of the OTK group Matthew Rinaudo aka Mizkif claims that Pokimane and Alinity have received “hundreds of death threats.” In the past year, Jadeyanh, Jinnytty, Nico, Fuslie, Sweet Anita, and Valkyrae reported scary experiences with obsessed fans, including everything from doxing, harassment, and stalking to death threats.

During one of Mizkif’s live broadcasts, he took his time out of his daily gaming session to speak about an alarming issue where female streamers are receiving multiple death threats and especially Imane Anys aka Pokimane and Natalia Mogollon aka Alinity. He stated during the stream; “You get these obsessed guys and they are threatening women constantly and honestly, that is the scariest part. I guarantee you , your favourite girl streamer has gotten these threats before. You’re out of your mind if you don’t think Pokimane has gotten hundreds of death threats over the years, dude. She’s not only a girl. She’s a hated girl. There are girls streamers and then there are streamers who are massively hated. Her and Alinity. I guarantee you they probably have lockers full of death threats. They probably have their own locker at the police station. That is the worst part of streaming to me. It’s the feeling that someone can invade your privacy and stalk you and do weird sh*t”.

Despite being two of the biggest streamers on the platform, Pokimane and Alinity are often perceived as being polarizing in the eyes of the general Twitch audience. Mizkif felt strongly enough about it to educate his viewers on the matter. And if the claims are true, the numbers are staggering. We can only hope that people come to their senses and stop threatening streamers on the basis of their gender.
