Pewdiepie Shows Mercy

After opening a form for fans to win Digimon cards, Popular YouTube personality Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg decided to show mercy to an accidental giveaway cheater.

For many years, Felix has remained one of the most popular YouTubers on the platform. He’s started doing giveaways on his stream since the Pokemon-Esque release of Digimon branded trading cards, so fans can win signed cards from the creator.

However, despite the fact that PewDiePie said that each user could only enter once, some people filled out the Google form multiple times in the hopes of increasing their chances of earning cards from the Swedish creator.

Pewds announced a contest during his October 14 card opening stream, in which fans could win a signed card from him. Before starting, he mentioned: “I will be checking to see if you entered your name multiple times, you will be disqualified.”

Pewds drew his second number after his initial successful drawing using the random number generator, only to discover that the winner’s name was on the list twice. He remarked; “Jayden you cheated… you added your number twice, I have to disqualify you.”

Felix went on to pick his next two card winners, laughing at the fact that he had caught his first cheater. The second one went okay, but he was confronted by yet another cheater who had typed their name six times in total.

Kjellberg saw that his conversation was overflowing with messages regarding Jayden at this point: “He messed up the address,” they remarked. When he returned to check the form input, he discovered that the fan had corrected an error on their address when they refilled it out.

Fortunately for Jayden, Pewds decided to go ahead and give a signed card to the fan. Others who took advantage of the form, however, did not appear to be as fortunate.

Perhaps the creator will figure out a method to keep cheats out of his future giveaway.
