Onision Announces YouTube Departure

James Jackson most commonly known as Onision on his youtube channel is an American entertainer, YouTuber, musician and author. He first started on youtube back in 2006 and he became a well known youtuber because of his comedic songs and sketches including the viral “Banana Song.” However, he recently announced that he will be leaving youtube. When he became popular, he also became notorious for allegations against him for manipulation, grooming, and sexual abuse.

Back in 2019, a range of disturbing allegations emerged against him. There is a video where he allegedly abuses his former fiancé Shiloh Hogansen as he was heard in the film saying; “No one will ever know how much I abuse you”. Back in January 2020, Onision was banned from the twitch streaming platform. Many fans have criticized Youtube for keeping Onision despite the number of controversies. Because of these controversies, Onision recently posted a video on his youtube channel where he announced that he will be leaving youtube after the platform had made the decision to demonetize his channel.

He also addressed the allegations made against him. He stated in the video; “Unfortunately after about 14 years on the platform, because of Shiloh following through with her promise to destroy my life, destroy my career, leave me with nothing, here I am with this email telling me that everything I’ve worked for has come to an end.”
