Neekolul Trolls Fans On Twitter

Neekolul is an American Twitch streamer and TikTok personality. In July 2020, she was signed up as a content creator for 100 Thieves. She is also known for streaming the popular game Among Us together with her fellow streamers and friends while her YouTube content centers on reacting to weird and wonderful videos and memes.

Recently, she decided to prank her fans and supporters by changing her display name and image on twitter for it to look just like the Twitch ban bot ‘StreamerBans’ account who often posts the news of streamers suspensions on the platforms. She tweeted,  “Twitch Partner “Neeko” has been banned!” with also a lot of hashtags looking like it was from the actual account of the streamersban. Some of her fans got the prank right away while on it wasn’t so obvious for others. Other content creators such as Karl Jacobs and Classify also responded to Neekolul’s prank with Karl’s twitter, “FROM BEING TOO EPIC?!” and Classify tweeted, “Finally, been reporting it for days”. It was a harmless prank that was indeed entertaining for her fans, however, there are some instances that Twitter bans people for impersonating other accounts by switching up their profile picture and display name as it could violate their ‘Impersonation Policy.’
