MrBeast Offers First Look at Squid Game YouTube Project

One of the most popular Youtube personalities MrBeast is preparing for the internet’s largest Squid Game recreation. Fans now have a decent sense of what to expect before production begins, thanks to the star’s posting of photographs from the set.

Whether or not you’ve seen the record-breaking Netflix series, there’s no doubting that Korean drama Squid Game has swept the internet. We’ve already seen video game recreations, TikTok-famous Halloween costumes, and a few high-profile adaptations involving well-known YouTubers. Everyone has been waiting to see how MrBeast, one of the internet’s biggest stars, is getting ready to go above and beyond.

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long because filming is set to begin soon. We now have our first peek at MrBeast’s enormous endeavor, before 456 genuine contestants begin the first ‘deadly’ game.

In a November 3 Twitter post, MrBeast wrote;m“The Squid Game sets are coming together,” while three further photos show near-identical recreations of the original show’s set design.

First, we witness the YouTuber painting the walls of the first challenge, Red Light, Green Light. The Dalgona game has a larger-than-life swing set where contestants must cut out beautiful forms from a quantity of honeycomb. Last but not least, we see the largest set on show, a full-scale recreation of the village seen throughout Episode 6’s heartbreaking marble challenge.

Rather than providing his own original games, MrBeast appears to be going for a direct take on the successful Netflix series. That’s not to say his YouTube project won’t include some unique concepts.

We already know MrBeast was stumped for ideas on how to complete Squid Game’s tug of war challenge. Before settling on anything mysterious, the YouTuber polled his fans for ideas.

There’s no way of knowing when MrBeast’s Squid Game video will be released. However, with the sets nearly complete, filming might begin soon, with 456 candidates ready to go.
