Microsoft To Bring Back Twitch Streaming On Xbox

After being removed by Microsoft in 2017, Twitch streaming is expected to return to the Xbox dashboard. Members of the Xbox alpha and skip-ahead alpha will be the first to see Twitch streaming integration return to the Xbox dashboard.

The Twitch streaming option is comparable to the snap interface, which launched in 2014 and allowed users to start broadcasting their games right away via the Xbox guide’s “Capture and Share” tab. Before hitting the “Go live now” button, users must first link their Twitch account to their Xbox system. Audio and video components for live streaming will be supported by the new dashboard feature, which will include a microphone and webcam toggle.

Users will be able to modify both game and microphone audio, resolution and bitrate, as well as overlay location, under “More Options.” Viewers can watch your stream from any device that supports the broadcasting platform after it has gone live. Players who follow you on the Xbox console will receive notifications anytime you go live. Users must go to the Xbox Notifications tab in Preferences and pick their desired live stream settings to get this set up.

Microsoft said in the official statement; “We’ve heard your feedback and are excited to bring back this fan favorite feature, re-engineered, and better than ever.”

Though now only available to Alpha members, Microsoft plans to make Twitch integration available to all users via a new dashboard update.
