Ludwig Spends Crazy Amount For An Hour With Shroud

Twitch streamer Maya Higa recently ran a fundraiser livestream to fund her non-profit organization Alveus Sanctuary. Maya raised over$500,000 during the charity stream. In the stream, instead of plainly asking for donations, Maya had interesting prizes up for grabs, winnable through auction.

From shoes, bubble wrap sheets, to fun little tasks, Maya went all out to gather funds for her project. One thing that stood out on that list was an hour of gaming with Twitch extraordinaire Michael Grzesiek aka Shroud. The auction for this started big with dozens of viewers pitching in thousands of dollars. Then shroud himself entered the auction and bid $36,000 to beat Chance “sodapoppin” Morris’ leading bid of $35,000. Shortly after, Twitch streamer Ludwig swooped in with a whopping $40,000 and Ludwig went live to broadcast the auction in his stream from his point of view.

A few donors gave Ludwig a good fight but Ludwig outbid everyone by donating $53,000 to hang out with shroud to win the auction. Ludwig also posted out on twitter after winning the bid as he wrote; “I bought shroud”. An hour of gaming with shroud was the most expensive of the day followed by a golden shovel signed by Sodapoppin that was sold to Mizkif for $31,000 after the highest bidder failed to fulfill the transaction.
