Ludwig Receives Fake Copyright Infringement Notice

On the February 9th tweet of Ludwig, he tweeted that his twitter account would be suspended due to copyright infringement. He attached a comical image with the caption saying; “Got told my twitter account will be suspended for copyright infringement today so I leave you with that as my last tweet”.

Shortly after he posted this tweet, he once again posted another tweet indicating that what he received was a fake copyright infringement notice from a verified account that claimed a Twitter support account. He shared some more information of the situation, including the original message, which was a scam. it was from a verified twitter account with a twitter name “Twitter Support team” and the name of the account’s handle was @2chibamino3.

According to the pictures that Ludwig posted, the message claimed that he had breached copyright infringement and requested that he follow a link to complete a feedback form within 24 hours or his Twitter account would face suspension. Because of this, Ludwig called out twitter to take action and investigate the scam. It is not clear how this account was able to gain verification as Twitter has been working on a new verification process over the past few years to rid the platform of accounts such as this.
