Logan Paul Reacts To xQc Deal With Kick

Logan Paul questioned the validity of xQc’s $100 million contract with Kick that rocked up the streaming market a few weeks ago on the most recent episode of the ImPaulsive podcast.

After his fellow host, Mike Majlak, disclosed how much money the Twitch inventor was making, this YouTuber turned boxer was not quite convinced. When Felix “xQc”‘s representative disclosed that this Kick deal may be worth up to $100 million, if not more, he struck shockwaves through the entertainment world with the non-exclusive contract he signed. Given that the amount of money on offer is similar to certain great athletes’ salary, the two-year contract was welcomed by many as a turning point in streaming.

Logan Paul, though, expressed skepticism on the estimate. After Mike contrasted Felix’s Kick deal with Messi’s two-year one with Inter Miami, he queried his other guests as to if it was “genuine,” saying: “Is that real? Is that real? Um, I don’t believe it. I am sorry I don’t;’I’m a hater. It’s too much money.”

Mike Majlak brought up how Argentine football player Lionel Messi’s two-year contract with Inter Miami is reportedly worth between $125 and $150 million when the podcasters were discussing sports and million-dollar contracts. He remarked how similar it was to the contract that xQc had signed: “Two years for $125 million dollars. Eerily similar to two years for $100 million dollars, which is what Twitch star xQc just got.”

At this point, Logan Paul seemed to doubt the statistic. As a result, Mike continued by saying that the base value of xQc’s arrangement is approximately $70 million, while incentives might raise that amount to $100 million. He stated: “Felix Lengyel… announced that he will be joining a rival streaming platform in a two-year deal. The contract is reportedly worth around $70 million with incentives, potentially raising the total to $100 million.”

Logan reiterated his suspicion, claiming that he was correct to question the validity of the contract, and he provided additional justifications, such as taxes, for why xQc would not receive that much money. His colleagues hosts disputed the tax claim by pointing out that all contracts, including Messi’s, would be subject to taxes. The topic of Ninja’s alleged multi-million dollar contract with Mixer was then brought up, and Mike asserted that xQc’s situation was unique because Kick had substantial resources due to their connections to the cryptocurrency gambling platform Stake: “Ninja got paid, but his (deal) wasn’t worth $100 million. And also, it wasn’t backed by a company that has unlimited financial resources. You know what I’m saying?”

This seemed to have a slight effect on Logan Paul, who then said: “I see because they are with that gambling company that makes all that money.”
