Kick And Twitch Viewership Update

Thanks to ex-Twitch stars saturating the Kick streaming service, viewership has increased dramatically.

Kick, which calls itself the “most rewarding gaming and live streaming platform,” was founded in October 2022 and made public in January of this year. Unquestionably, the platform’s emerging rivalry with Twitch has influenced its early triumphs. Given that some Twitch streamers have already made the switch, this is particularly true. Now that there is statistics, it is clear how successful Kick has been in such a short time.

According to StreamElements’ State of the Stream report, which included information from Streams Charts, Kick has experienced dramatic month-over-month growth of more than 400 percent. The report uses the amount of hours watched to calculate the platform’s audience statistics. Therefore, viewership increased by an incredible 404 percent between January and April. Kick users tuned in to view 12.8 million hours of material in January; by April, they were watching roughly 51.8 million hours. According to StreamElements, the launch of the Kick app for mobile devices was responsible for the enormous increase between April and March.

Kick continues to attract new creators in addition to its growing user base. By the end of January, Kick had more than 9,000 active channels. Nearly 67,000 active channels had registered by the end of April. Undoubtedly, this spike played a part in Kick’s month-over-month viewing increases. Additionally, the fact that quite a few well-known Twitch streamers have also joined Kick is surely not hurting. Adin Ross and Trainwrecks are undoubtedly two of the most well-known musicians to make the crossover. Rumors say that someone like Kai Cenat could eventually join Kick as well.
