k0nfig Joining Astralis CS:GO Squad From Complexity

According to a recent report, Counter-Strike pro Kristian Wienecke famously known as k0nfig may join Astralis once his contract with Complexity expires.

Since injuring his wrist in a freak accident back in August 2021, k0nfig hasn’t played in a professional CSGO match with Complexity. According to a recent report from jaxon.gg, k0nfig could be on his way to a new squad in the near future. Astralis is the name of the team. And according to jaxon, several sources have told the site that k0nfig is on the verge of switching his blue star for a red one.

When k0nfig was injured, Complexity promptly drafted coldzera to fill in until k0nfig was fit to play again. According to this recent claim, k0nfig appears to be more than just a stand-in. On Complexity, k0nfig had a revival, and the rifler’s abilities would be welcome on Astralis, but the lynchpin to this entire story is the fact that his contract is apparently scheduled to expire in the near future. Multiple sources told jaxon that the Danish pro k0nfig’s contract with Complexity is set to expire on January 1, 2022. This may seem like a long time, but keep in mind that k0nfig still has to recover from his wrist injury before he can return fully.

This timing could result in a very profitable deal for both parties. Astralis would be able to sign k0nfig without having to buy out his contract, while Complexity would be able to gain plenty of playing experience and practice in the meantime with coldzera filling in for him.

However, Astralis, Complexity, and k0nfig have all yet to respond to jaxon’s report, and we may not hear anything until the official announcement – if the deal goes through.
