JustaMinx Confusing Ban Scare

For the previous 24 hours, Irish Twitch streamer Justaminx has been confused. The creator of the channel has not received any punishment from Twitch despite receiving an email informing her that she will soon be banned from the service, which has caused an odd series of messages on social media.

The 26-year-old said during her live yesterday that she thought Twitch was getting ready to ban her account for seven days for violating the platform’s safety-related Community Guidelines. She has already made numerous posts on her backup Twitter account, expressing confusion about the idea that she has not yet been banned. She subsequently shared a screenshot of what appears to be an email in which she is described as having been “incapacitated on stream” and having been reported to Twitch.

Creators are prohibited from showing or promoting “dangerous consumption of alcohol or other substances that lead to being incapacitated,” under Twitch’s policies on “self-destructive behavior.” Her activities “will result in a 7 day suspension,” according to the screencap, however it is unclear when this punishment will start. Four days earlier, the inventor was drinking alcohol on stream when she started slurring her words and even dropped the bottle she was drinking from. This may be considered the potentially banned behavior in issue.

Minx has already experienced two suspensions on the platform, beginning in 2020. The most current ban, which began on February 7, 2022, was the most recent of the two and lasted seven days.
