It’s taken a long time, but Johnathan ‘Jschlatt’ Schlatt, a popular YouTuber, has finally gotten his face on a Times Square billboard, and his happy photo is trending on Twitter.

It’s been a year since JSchlatt lost to Corpse Husband in a tight fight for a marketing campaign that saw the winner’s face and brand plastered over a Times Square billboard in New York City. Since then, he’s had his ups and downs, including being banned from Twitch and appearing in Ludwig’s most profitable video to date.

But he hasn’t taken the loss lying down, and he has finally gotten his retribution. The hilarious YouTuber apparently took last year’s loss to heart, tweeting “I finally did it” with a photograph of the YouTooz partnership to his 2.8 million Twitter followers, mirroring Corpse’s “We did it” celebration post.

The ad itself promotes the YouTooz website’s Jschalt X Rammie plushie and slippers sale, which is virtually sold out. Schlatt’s enthusiasm for billboards contrasts sharply with recent YouTube convert Sykunno’s recent declaration that billboards have no impact on product sales. The advertised collaboration is nearly fully gone, and it’s unclear whether or not the billboard had an impact on the retail sales. It’s difficult to ignore Jschlatt’s obvious delight in the image.
