Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson Backlash

Jeffree Star, one of the most popular beauty YouTubers, has over 16 million subscribers on his channel, which he started in 2006. However, over the last year, the makeup mogul has been repeatedly accused of racism and of having a romantic relationship with rapper Kanye West.

In Shane Dawson’s case, things are similar to those of his friend. However, after rumors of being investigated for multiple charges surfaced, the creator decided to take a break from the internet, only to return a few months later to face backlash.

Jeffree Star recently announced on his YouTube channel that he will be releasing a video with the controversial creator soon, marking Dawson’s first official online appearance since leaving the platform a year ago.

Star revealed in a tweet on September 27th that the duo’s makeup collaboration has made its way to Nordstrom Rack, a store that Jeffree appears to dislike having his makeup in.

The store has placed his product on the clearance shelf, making an already bad situation even worse.

That’s not all; Star appears to have uploaded a video detailing what they’ll discuss in the video, which includes a reference to an apparently unknown deleted YouTube video.

Some social media users were not pleased with the beauty YouTuber’s announcement that he’s back filming with Shane Dawson.

Given that the video is set to be released in just a few days, it’s probably too late to back out of any collaboration between the two.

There are even rumors that they are about to launch a new makeup line together, which would be a significant step forward after their first beauty collaboration in 2019.
