Jeff Bezos Supports New World

Despite many mistakes and failures, Amazon Founder and Executive Chairman Jeff Bezos reacted to New World’s successful launch, claiming that he couldn’t be more “proud” of the team.

The debut of New World was a huge success. In terms of concurrent players, it’s so popular that it’s on level terms with Steam’s two most popular games, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. On the other hand, its popularity has resulted in considerable queue times and the developers have been working hard to address this by increasing population caps and adding extra servers. Server transfers and anti-AFK capabilities are also on the way, and should be available in the next few weeks.

Despite this, the game has been a critical and commercial success. Only memes have connected Jeff Bezos to the game. On October 1st, he finally spoke about the game and expressed his whole support for it.

Here’s what he stated; “After many failures and setbacks in gaming, we have a success. So proud of the team for their persistence. View setbacks as helpful obstacles that drive learning. Whatever your goals are, don’t give up no matter how hard it gets.”

He used a link to a CNBC article to demonstrate his case, applauding Amazon for having a “smash hit” on their hands. Then he made a comparison to a Bloomberg piece that claimed they’d never develop a good game. He explained, “The two articles are only eight months apart.”

The New World is still in its early stages. Players, on the other hand, are having a blast immersing themselves in Aeternum for hours on end. It will only get better once the developers start adding new content and features, such as expeditions, mounts, zones, and more.
