HasanAbi Responds to Outrage at Twitch

One of the most popular streamers on Twitch Hasan Piker aka HasanAbi has hit back at the outrage over him buying a 2.74 million dollar Hollywood home stating that everyone needs to calm down.

Many streamers have recently found success on Twitch since many people were forced to stay home looking for more content to pass the time. These Twitch streamers, such as Hasan Piker, have gained a huge following because of this and are now making a very comfortable living. Twitch streamer HasanAbi was the former host of a political commentary channel called The Young Turks. Today, he goes by HasanAbi on Twitch and streams video game content, and has political discussions with his followers.

A fierce debate broke out recently after the revelation that Hasan had recently purchased a $2.7 million home which some people saw as hypocritical given that he identifies as a socialist. This is not the first time that this incident happened as Twitch streamer and TikTok star Neekolul was criticized for purchasing a $2m apartment for the same reason. Some twitch fans feel like Hasan isn’t practicing what he preaches, given that he’s apparently indulging in an expensive lifestyle.

In response to this, Hasan replied in one of the user tweets who claimed it was “immoral” for him not to donate significant amounts of money to charity given his wealth. Hasan replied; “I do donate, some public, most not. However, this is a f**king brain-dead take that keeps dumbasses thinking Bill Gates is a good guy btw.” Additionally, Hasan posted a series of tweet in response to the outrage and in the end, he stated that everyone collectively needs to calm down and those still after his head can “suck his d*ck.” Many internet personalities such as Ethan Klein, Ana Kasparian have rushed to defend Hasan.
