Twitch Streamer and Valorant player Jessica’s growth has seen an insane growth in 2020 and is already shaping up to be even bigger in 2021.

The free-to-play multiplayer game Valorant was originally released in 2020 and it quickly became a twitch sensation after its release. The game was loved by many because of its unique features. The game was clearly inspired from the famous games CSGO and Overwatch but it had its own twist.

One of the rising stars and Valorant players Jessica Kim was interviewed by the esports and gaming lifestyle publisher Dexerto and she shared her experience as a streamer, player and of being part of the Korean multi-gaming team Gen. G Esports.

According to her interview, Jess was originally an Instagram Influencer and she recalled that people on her live streams suggested twitch to her which was when she decided to give it a try and tried ‘Just Chatting’ at first and then found Apex Legends. She said that Apex was her first FPS game and her first PC game that she ever actually invested her time into.

Upon the release of the game Valorant last year, Jess quickly found herself playing and loving it. What drew her the most is that she can play Valorant with her friends. She also shared that playing Valorant was really helpful to her and it helped her step out of her comfort zone.

Jessica has 78.2K twitch followers, garnered in just six months! Her successful streaming career is outstanding and she is called the queen of Valorant because of her amazing success. When she was asked what she felt about her recent success, she said that it felt crazy and she herself couldn’t believe it and shared that before Valorant came out, she was really lost on what career she wanted to go down and streaming was never something that she’d been able to do.

She couldn’t believe at first what she was doing until she decided to stream games on her channel and according to her, it was insane that a simple hobby of hers could turn into a career. Her passion and effort while streaming surely paid off managing to get a partnership with the esports organization Gen. G

She personally chose the organization because she believes with their values and loves what they stand for. She even said that she made the best choice choosing the org she’s going to join. It is also a plus for Jess that Geb.G’s ambitions are perfectly aligned with hers.

Jessica also commented regarding how men treat female streamers in the gaming industry. She was really mad about the men treating female streamers like they are a joke and called them misogynistic. According to Jess, the amount of shit women streamers have to get through is insane, the comments in their chat being a problem for them.

She also praised female streamers, content creators and gamers and uplifted them because of the things they can do and said that they are amazing. Jessica also recalled Cloud9’s announcement of C9 White where all women are included. She said that the announcement gave her goosebumps and made her really proud to be one of the female content creators.

The career of Jessica is surely amazing. Her future in the gaming industry is still far from over and more achievements and accomplishments will surely come because of her positive mindset and personality.
