Fortnite Pro “Fresh” Gifts $15,000 To Teammates

Australian Fortnite player, Fresh recently gives grand prize money to his teammates following an unfortunate Semi-Finals situation.

Harley Campbell AKA Fresh is a well-known Australian Fortnite player and he has become a household name in the scene despite competing in one of the game’s most underappreciated regions. Fresh is also an OG and one of the best in Oceania, on top of his daily streams and dedication to Fortnite.

Along with teammates Rel and Oatley, he set out on another request to obtain Fortnite’s ultimate prize, the Axe of Champions but unfortunately the road is never easy, especially for someone like him who has a massive twitch following and notoriety.

Fresh , Rel, and Oatley Were in a strong position to finish to-six in the FNCS Season 7 Semi Finals, ensuring them a spot in the season 7 finals. However, the three became the target of an opposing team and went out of their way to make sure that they would not be quiet.

The three of them were assigned to Heat In the OCE region , where they competed against 32 othe trios and they did well, earning triple-digit points and winning the penultimate match before the chaos began. With near-certain qualification in sight, another team out of contention set their sights on Fresh in order to ruin their tournament.

The same team landed on Fresh’s trio the previous game but lost the spawn fight A much different and unfortunate scenario unfolded one match later. Fresh’s team only needed three points to finish sixth but their suspicious opponents were determined to keep that from happening. Fresh, Rel, and Oatley finished their final game in 20th place.

The trio was understandably upset by the situation and hoped that Epic would take action to address the obvious grief. Fortunately for Fresh, Rel, and Oatley they will still have a chance to qualify for Season 7 finals via the Reboot Round. Fresh didn’t let that stop him from rewarding his teammates with some guaranteed prize money.

Fresh took to Twitter With a screenshot of his PayPal account that showed $15K USD removed from it and two transactions to Oatley and Rel. Fresh said “GRIEFED FOR HEATS BUT THE TRIO STILL WON FNCS!” and said that they still qualify tomorrow.

Given that the FNCS Champions’ grand prize in OCE is $22.5K USD, Oatley and Rel already have won the same amount as if they had won the first place, and the competition is still ongoing. Fresh made a good-natured gesture by turning a bad situation into a good one.

On Twitter, Rel thanked Fresh saying that he loves him and that they will get the pickaxe too “GRIEFERS MAD LIFE” Everything after this, up to and including the RebootRound and ideally, the Season 7 finals is gravy for Rel and Oatley. Griefing occurs frequently in Fortnite particularly against well-known streamers. It’s reassuring to know that Fortnite players like Fresh exist.

If the trio won the Reboot Round, the story will be even better and many are already excited to see what will happen tomorrow.
