Flats Joins Florida Mayhem

Florida Mayhem has recently announced via Twitter post that they will be officially adding the popular Overwatch streamer Flats to its content creation roster.

Twitch streamer Flats is known for his fun, positive streams and main tank gameplay. He currently gained more than 116,000 followers on Twitch and 128,000 subscribers on YouTube. Flats is a mainstay in the Overwatch streaming community, often partnering up with San Francisco Shock partnered streamer Emongg and tackling the ranked ladder. He and Jay3, the Florida Mayhem’s longtime partnered streamer, are also often seen in the chaos of competitive mode together.

On a recent twitter post of the official Florida Mayhem’s account, they warmly welcome Flats to its content creation roster with a short video clip of Flat’s journey to streaming. Florida Mayhem is an American professional Overwatch esports team based in Miami and Orlando, Florida. The team competes in the Overwatch League (OWL) as a member of the league’s West Division.

Back on their september 5th twitter post, Florida Mayhem posted another cryptic message about a possible new hire, clearly saying they were a main tank player captioning; “So let’s say, hypothetically, we had an announcement going out tomorrow…” The message included a reference to the Boston Uprising, which confused some fans trying to crack the clue.

True to their words, they broke the news the other day as they made the announcement of Flats joining their content creation team. It seems like the team is as serious about producing content as it is about the Overwatch League itself. The vice president of esports operations for the Mayhem, Albert Yeh said in a statement, “Been working on this behind the scenes for a while. We’ve got big plans for Overwatch content.”
