Fedmyster Apologizes

Twitch streamer and a former member of the OfflineTV group Federico Gaytan aka Fedmyster has recently made his return on twitch after a year of taking a break because of the sexual abuse allegations. And during his return, he apologizes and acknowledged his action towards the offlineTV members Pokimane, Yvonnie and Lilypichu.

A year ago, twitch streamer Fedmyster was kicked out of the OfflineTV house after its members such as LilyPichu, Yvonnie and Pokimane made claims about his inappropriate behavior. Since then, Fedmyster has disappeared from the internet as he stopped posting videos on his channel and also stopped streaming. But then now, after months of teases and false alarms, he has now returned to twitch and during his return, the first thing that he did was to talk about the incident by acknowledging and apologizing for it.

The entire stream is themed around this problem which has hurt many people from OfflineTV and its legions of fans. Fedmyster mentioned that he wanted to take accountability and acknowledge all the problems that he has caused. The first that he spoke about it was with Yvonne where Fedmyster admitted he was physically inappropriate with her on two occasions, although he didn’t touch any private areas.

He stated; “I want you guys to understand that sexual assault is a spectrum. Most people think of sexual assault in the concepts of rape or attempted rape. But there are less serious forms of sexual assault that are also inappropriate. It was very valid for Yvonne to come out and express that violation. I wanted to say that on the record. I think that it needed to be said. I violated her right to consent, and then I took that power away from her, and that was not okay.”

While on Lilypichu, he admitted that after hanging out with her so much, a sense of intimacy started to grow. However, things got awkward shortly after when he told her that he liked her but he says that the next morning that he woke up, he suddenly realizes that he didn’t mean that and because of this, Fedmyster conceded that he could totally see how it looked like he was trying to take advantage of her emotional state, although he insisted that was not his intention at all.

Last one that he addressed was the document that he wrote about his relationship with Pokimane which he believed that he never should have created.

He ended his apology by saying that he wanted to move on, as he was sure everyone else wanted to as well. Nevertheless, fans have had mixed reactions to Fedymster’s apology to the OfflineTV members and its fans. Many believe that he doesn’t deserve forgiveness. But some of them are also content with his stream because he acknowledged and took accountability for his actions.
