Dream Talks About Drama With Quackity

The conflict between the freshly announced USMP and QSMP Minecraft servers has been addressed by YouTube sensation Dream.

Unquestionably, the Dream SMP was at one point the largest community of Minecraft content creators, if not the entire internet. Though the original SMP may be no longer in existence, Dream has just begun work on a new project. The first multi-language SMP, the United SMP server, which brings together 60 content creators across six languages, was revealed by the YouTuber on April 3.

The same day, Quackity made a statement about his own multilingual server QSMP, which has 16 creators and provides viewers with real-time live translation. Drama that erupted as the two servers battled one other has since been addressed by Dream. The YouTuber addressed the issue in a tweet on April 10 and said that the two were working on separate private projects at the same time when they unintentionally overlapped. He wrote; “For any of you confused about the USMP / QSMP ‘drama’, Quackity & I worked on the same thing accidentally and kept it private like most projects & they accidentally clashed with each other because of it. I have absolutely no hard feelings towards Quackity and love him to death. I want to start streaming and playing survival for fun again with friends and that’s the goal. I hate seeing people minimize what Q has done in the gaming space, as even if other people try and build bridges, he broke down the wall to make it possible for them to be built.”

Fans now hope the two new SMPs may collaborate together at some point because there doesn’t appear to be any hostility between the two Minecraft stars.
