Destiny Expresses Frustrations

Twitch streamer Steven “Destiny” Bonnell II spoke at length on the disappointing end to HBO’s Game of Thrones during a recent livestream.

Game of Thrones is a fantasy drama television series based on the works of George R.R. Martin, an American novelist. Destiny had already expressed his interest in the show. During a recent livestream, though, he stated that the series’ ending was “very disappointing.” The streamer went into great detail about one of his favorite characters, although he was upset with how the series finished in general.

Game of Thrones started in April 2011 and ran for eight seasons, with a total of 73 episodes. On IMDB, the series has a 9.2 overall rating. Season 8 was, on the other hand, widely panned by fans around the world and did not garner the same critical acclaim. The six episodes have an IMDB rating of 6.3 on average, with the series conclusion garnering only a 4. Destiny, a streamer from the United Kingdom, appeared to agree with fans all over the world, claiming that the ending was “bad”:

He says; “Aah, f*ck. It was just, no, coz it was just so bad.”

Season 8 of Game of Thrones was widely panned for a variety of reasons. George R.R. Martin has argued that the series’ writers did not do the original material justice. The treatment of Emilia Clarke’s character Daenerys Targaryen shocked the majority of viewers. Destiny appeared to agree, and he went on to say something about a character he liked: “Remember how cool Oberyn was? Every f*cking scene. Every scene that had Oberyn in it, so cool. He wasn’t racist.”

Oberyn Martell was played by actor Pedro Pascal. Sir Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane killed the character in Season 4. Oberyn was portrayed as a modern figure in the series, with liberal ideals. He was one of the series’ most popular characters, but he died in a brutal manner.
