In one of the most popular Dark Souls videos, a player defeats one of the bosses without using a weapon, instead of rolling circles around it.

The Dark Souls series and related From Software games are notorious for being very tough and requiring players to learn combat techniques in order to advance. One user, however, is taking the fight to a whole new level by beating a Dark Souls boss without using any weapons at all, instead relying solely on rolls.

Chaos Witch Quelaag, a giant half-woman, half-spider creature discovered in a lair at the basement of Blighttown, is the boss in question. She possesses a large health bar and a variety of destructive strikes as a Dark Souls monster, but she also has a weakness: her inability to respond to ranged assaults. In a TikTok video, though, streamer DontRachQuit was able to take her out just by rolling.

DontRachQuit, a Twitch streamer and TikTok user, isn’t the first person to video herself whirling circles around a Dark Souls encounter. She’s already used the same strategy on Ornstein and Smough, with disastrous results. While rolling normally does not do any harm, she donned a set of armor that does a little bit of damage every time she rolls and then rolled incessantly. She was able to grind down Chaos Witch Quelaag and win with this unconventional strategy, which included a lot of dodging and well placed heels.

She took care to spread her heels out as far as possible so that they may go as far as possible. Despite the fact that the TikTok video is only one minute and ten seconds long, the struggle looks to have lasted a long time, making her tactics seem reasonable. She dealt damage by running in circles around the boss and purposefully rolling around Chaos Witch Quelaag’s spider body and legs, regardless of whether rolling was necessary at the time. Although this armor set isn’t one of Dark Souls’ greatest PvE weapons, it looks to do the job.

As of this writing, the TikTok looks to have gotten a positive response from fans, with numerous commentators expressing shock and admiration for her self-imposed task. The entire combat took approximately 30-40 minutes, according to DontRachQuit, which makes sense given how little damage rolling in Dark Souls does. One commentator said that some Dark Souls players are only learning the game, while others have mastered it, implying that DontRachQuit has mastered it. Gamers may be tempted to assume she is a Dark Souls expert based on her feats of defeating many Dark Souls bosses only by rolling.
